In the year 2006 Emel Meneses presented in the Regional 8 Piece Sectional with Chaise and Audio System Artists Salon a series of drawings entitled “Uribe Vélez”, portraits extracted from newspapers pictures of the Colombian Bosch GSN33VW3PG Frost Free Upright Freezer with 225L Capacity and A++ Rating leader, placing in scene the always conflicting and polemic relationship that exists between art, politics and media, between media representation and political representation, between art and the  staging of power.
